#30DayPhotoChallenge Day 12 Sunset
Today was super fun and I actually felt prepared for the first time in this whole challenge. I knew I wanted an unobstructed view of the sunset and it was going to be cold. I was bundled and decided to drive to the roof of a parking garage. To my dismay, the view wasn't unobstructed. There was fencing around the entire top. So I improvised. I'm finding that with photography that most of the jobs you get require you to be able to hone that skill.
That's where real creativity can bloom. It actually makes me happy being forced into that realm.
With this challenge, my biggest obstacle was a combination: the season and the weather. We don't get those gorgeous, beautifully colorful sunsets this time of year. Instead we get the gray sunsets with hints of orange and yellow. There was also a decent cloud cover today. I found myself wishing today was the Cloud Challenge. I would've killed it. C'est la vie!
So, as I set up my shot I used the fencing to steady my camera. I took one shot with some of the fencing and rail in it. I made it look like I was near the ocean with a cool frame. The other shots are pretty run-of-the-mill shots as it was sunset. You can barely tell. Regardless, they're relaxing. I like them. For fun though, I'll be including a shot I took years ago of a sunset with the hot colors.
I hope you enjoy them. By the way, feel free to share this blog or provide feedback. I love to hear from you.
Tomorrow's Challenge: Cannot Live Without
Should be interesting. I'm going to need to think about this one.
